Faculty Profile

Dr. Bruce Walker is a native of Monroe and graduated from ULM (then known as “NLU”) a long time ago.  After graduating, he got married and moved to the D-FW area where he began a 15-year corporate career that spanned the banking, manufacturing, retailing, and consulting industries.  He began his Human Resource Management career in 1980.  After working on his Ph. D. for four years, he, his wife, and their three children returned to Monroe in 1995, and he began teaching at ULM in 1996.

Undergrad: University of LA – Monroe (BBA)
Graduate: The University of Texas – Arlington (MBA)
Post Grad: The University of Arkansas (Ph. D. with emphasis in OB/HRM)
Primary teaching areas: General management, HR management (undergrad and grad)
Primary research interests: Dysfunctional employee behaviors, academic freedom
