WHY GENERAL BUSINESS AT ULM? General Business gives students a broad background in all areas of business. The degree also facilitates students' acquisition of a minor in a non-business area. Students in general business typically take control of their studies by combining two areas of concentration to create their own "major." Typical combinations include Computer Information Systems and Finance, Finance and Management, and international concentrations that combine foreign language training with business studies. GENERAL BUSINESS FACULTYWhile the General Business degree is housed in the College of Business, the faculty are drawn from across the College of Business Administration. Should the student be interested in taking true advantage of the flexibility of the degree, faculty can be from across the university. This is especially true for those students wishing to pursue an "international" degree that includes foreign language training alongside a solid background in business administration. |

| GENERAL BUSINESS The general business program at ULM is grounded in a core of courses including principles of management, marketing, accounting, economics, computer information systems, and finance. Moreover, we strive to keep class size relatively small, insuring that each student has the opportunity to seek and receive personal attention from their professor. Students majoring in General Business are able to complete their degree program entirely at night or online. This makes General Business particularly attractive to part-time students who are seeking to further their education while working full time.
