Faculty Profile Dr. Michael Parker is a Full Professor of Finance at the University of Louisiana Monroe. Also, he serves as the Department Chairperson, a position he has held for three years. Dr. Parker's areas of specialty are Corporate Finance and Investments. He also teaches a class on Derivative securities. In his career Dr. Parker has in excess of twenty refereed journal publications and more than twenty presentations at professional meetings. He received his Doctoral Degree in Finance from Mississippi State University in 1992. Upon completion of his degree he came to ULM and has been here ever since. In addition to his normal duties, Dr. Parker has taught in the ULM MBA Program in Hong Kong for the past 15 years. He has also lectured in Paris France and presented at a conference in Nitra Slavakia. Dr. Parker has also participated in an international program to familiarize American Professors with business practices in Mexico. Vita |
