Faculty Profile Dr. Jose Cordova is a native of San Salvador, El Salvador. He attended Mississippi State University, where he earned a Ph.D. in Computer Science in 1992. After a brief period teaching mathematics and computer science at Southern Arkansas University, he joined the ULM faculty in 1995. Dr. Cordova's research interests include artificial intelligence, experimental computer science, and computer science education. In 2003, he was recognized as Outstanding Faculty Member in the College of Arts and Sciences. He joined the College of Business Administration as Faculty Chair of Computer Science in 2005 and currently holds the Kitty Degree endowed Professorship in Computer Science. In his spare time, Dr. Cordova enjoys reading, watching movies with his family, as well as watching and refereeing soccer games. He is registered as a state referee, referee instructor, and referee assessor with the US Soccer Federation. Vita |
