Faculty Profile Dr. Ron Berry, Professor of Information Systems and Dean, earned his Doctorate of Business Administration degree in Information Systems from Mississippi State University. He first joined the faculty of Computer Information Systems at ULM in 1995. In 2000, Dr. Berry became the Department Head of CIS where he served for four years before becoming Dean of the College in 2004. Dr. Berry has taught telecommunications, networking, systems analysis, management, management information systems, and programming languages. He was selected as the Outstanding Professor in Business by the ULM Alumni Association in 2002 and as the Outstanding Professor by Beta Gamma Sigma students in 2004. He has been awarded over $1 million in grants for research, technology and classroom enhancements, and economic development. Dr. Berry was the founding editor of the Journal of Internet Commerce and served in that role for four years. His primary research interests are business and Information Systems education, ethics, security and management information systems. He has published articles in journals such as the Journal of the Academy of Business Education, Journal of Computer Information Systems, Journal of Information Systems Education, Journal of Education for Business, and the Journal of International Technology and Information Management.
