Faculty Profile
Mr. Miguel Perez is an Instructor of Business and Computer Information Systems. He holds an undergraduate degree in Marketing and an MBA from the University of Louisiana at Monroe. After completing his MBA in 1999, he joined Chase Manhattan Mortgage Corporation. A year later, he rejoined the University as a CIS Instructor and also became the network administrator for the College of Business. After four years as the network administrator, he joined the ULM's Computing Center as a Support Specialist. In 2005, Mr. Perez was named Coordinator of Assessment and Internal Affairs for the College of Business. He continues to teach in the CIS and Business areas. Besides those responsibilities, Mr. Perez is the secretary of the ULM Chapter of Beta Gamma Sigma and the faculty advisor of the MBA Association.
Teaching areas include Networking and Business Applications. He has also taught Intro to Business and Business Communications. Research interests are mainly in networking and information security awareness.
A native of Canary Islands, Spain, Mr. Perez moved to Monroe, Louisiana in 1994 to play for the NLU Tennis Team. Since then, he has always been involved with the tennis community in the area. He also enjoys playing soccer.
