Faculty Profile Dr. Aleecia Hibbets is an Assistant Professor of Accounting at ULM, earning her Ph.D. in Accounting from The University of Alabama in 2006. A Monroe native, she earned her undergraduate degree at ULM in accounting in 1999. Dr. Hibbets researches and teaches in the area of cost management and accounting, focusing on the accounting information needed by managers to manage costs and improve operations. She has published in Behavioral Research in Accounting, Journal of Managerial Issues and Strategic Finance on the topics of Target Costing and the Balanced Scorecard. She is interested in managerial accounting information as it relates to organizational strategy and strategic planning, to individuals' behavior in judgments and decision-making, as well as ethical behavior and personal finances.
